The Tahoe Whitewater Tours Inflatable Kayak Adventures are some of our most wet and wild trips.
Along with the Reno Whitewater Park, Tahoe Whitewater Tours has a satellite office in downtown Reno NV. Guided Inflatable Kayak tours have never been easier. We are walking distance from any hotel or casino in the downtown area.
These adventures are available for people who want to challenge the river one on one. We run a 4:1 guide to client ratio on the water, and practice and teach "heads up" paddling.
We offer our kayak trips daily, and design all our trips for our guests' enjoyment, so give us a call to explore the possibilities.
The Half Day Adventures allow guests to plan other activities in the area or make that special dinner reservation. These adventures last 2-4 hours.

Mayberry Run: Class II: 2 Hour Tour
During the summer, the Reno Run is an exceptionally fun Inflatable Kayak Tour! This beginner whitewater tour meanders through downtown Reno. Running Chalk Bluffs Dam and the Reno Whitewater Park adds excitement to this Class I-II stretch of whitewater. Reservations Requested.

Tahoe Whitewater Tours offers first class kayak instruction. If you have never been in a kayak before or are looking to increase the skills you have one of our ACA Whitewater certified staff can accelerate your learning time and bring you to where you want to be.
Discover why the Truckee River in Reno is a Whitewater Kayaking destination. This course is designed to make the first timer feel comfortable with the equipment, and confident on the water. First, a half day on the beach and on the flat water. Here we discuss the equipment, how and why it works, and what kind will be suitable for you. Then into the boats to learn the basic strokes, the wet exit, and get an introduction to the Eskimo Roll. After a lunch break we head to the river. Time to learn about the dynamics of moving water, and most importantly, river safety. The rest of the day is spent in the boats on the river practicing fundamental maneuvers, and experiencing the unparalleled sensation of river kayaking. Full Day - $100.00.
If you thought the first day was fun, it only gets better! This course is a full day on the river, intended to make you a competent Class I-II kayaker. Today, discussion topics will include reading water, basic rescue and whitewater safety tactics. New strokes will earn you increased mobility. Relax on the beach for lunch and a real taste of "river life." Just another afternoon on a pristine Sierra river. Kayaking games let you practice eddy turns, peel outs and ferries. Start to learn surfing, one of the most amazing sensations in a kayak! This is a day you wont soon forget. Full Day - $100.00.
This is the breakthrough day!......What kayaking is all about.....A full day on the river, fantastic scenery, sparkling whitewater, and the confidence to enjoy it. Lot's of time refining old skills plus some new ones. There will be roll practice, scouting, more advanced maneuvers, and we'll start learning the art of play boating. The more your skills improve, the more rivers you will be capable of exploring. You are a kayaker!
